Ayurveda Treatment in Fistula-in-Ano

The wonderful property of cutting and healing is the main advantage of this procedure. This will remove the unhealthy granulation while healing and does not harm to the sphincters.

The Kshara Sutra is inserted in the fistula tract and both ends of the Kshara Sutra are tied together. The Kshara Sutra is replaced by a new one after an interval of one week. The Kshara Sutra gradually cuts and heals the tract. Finally the whole fistulous tract heals after cutting.

  • High fibre diet
  • Plenty of Liquids – cow milk, butter, buttermilk
  • Plenty of leafy vegetables – wheat, ghee, rice, green vegetables
  • Regular diet.
  • Sitz baths (sitting bath with medicated warm water)
  • Avoid chilies, fried foods and constipating foods
  • Avoiding non vegetarian food
  • Avoiding long periods of standing or sitting
  • Avoiding Strain during defecation
